Humans dominate the planet. In contrast, our closest animal cousins, the great apes, are struggling to survive in remote corners of Africa and Asia. How could this be? We often hear that humans have exceptionally large brains and behave in ways different than other primates. But what exactly makes us different? Dr Rogier Mars (University of Oxford) will explore what happened to our ancestors over the course of our evolutionary history and how this changed brains and behaviours.
